Welcome from the Headteacher

The children, staff and Governors at Winhills Primary Academy and l would like to welcome you to our fantastic website.

My name is Mrs d’Arcy and I am fortunate and especially proud to be the Headteacher of this wonderful and very successful school. Our school is staffed by a dedicated team of talented and caring professionals who give their best to all of our children.

Winhills Primary Academy for children aged 2 to 11. We are very lucky here at Winhills, we have a huge amount of learning space, both inside and outside including: 13 classrooms, a Nursery, 2 halls and amazing grounds which the children particularly enjoy! The school works under the trusteeship of the Diamond Learning Trust and is governed by its own Local Governing Body.

Winhills Primary Academy has amazing children, staff and Governors who all share the common belief ‘Be the Best that they can be!’. This is reflected in our school aim ‘To enable every child to reach their potential in an environment that fosters learning, respect, responsibility, laughter and friendship.’ which permeates throughout the School, thus creating a caring community where everyone is valued and treated with respect and dignity. We place a very strong emphasis on providing the best learning for all and we are proud of our caring and inclusive ethos, creating the happy environment in which our children learn. As a result, our children not only achieve excellent standards, but they also develop the personal skills needed to be happy and fulfilled individuals.

Whilst the website is a good introduction to the School, I wholeheartedly recommend that prospective parents visit us. I would very much welcome the opportunity to meet you, answer your questions and most of all let you see our great school in action.
